Hi! I’m Stacy Krones, MS, CTP
She | Her | Hers
I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2026, and I’m working toward full licensure as a professional counselor under the supervision of Dr. Tina Shah.
Before joining CPW, I worked with adults in long-term residential treatment for mental health and substance use. Before that, I spent two years as a therapeutic foster parent for kids and teens who had lived through significant trauma. I am also a Certified Trauma Professional.
My favorite part of this work
My favorite part of this work is helping clients recognize that the parts of themselves they have carried as flaws, as “too much,” or as proof they’re broken were actually ways they learned to protect themselves from something real. I work hard to create a space where that can happen without pressure or judgment, no matter what you bring in.
When the work shifts from fighting yourself to understanding yourself, something softens, and that is the moment I show up for.
Speaking of my clients
In particular, I specialize in working with individuals who:
Have lived through ongoing or childhood trauma, including within close relationships.
Are healing from controlling religious, spiritual, or family environments.
Are working through the aftermath of sexual abuse, either as a survivor or as someone facing harm they have caused.
I have a special interest in:
Trauma, PTSD, and Complex PTSD
Religious trauma and spiritual abuse
Recovery after leaving high-control groups.
Healing from sexual abuse.
Accountability and change for people who have caused harm.
Trauma alongside substance use.
I am passionate about:
Creating a relationship built on safety, choice, dignity, and honesty, where healing, accountability, and rediscovering who you are become possible.
Breaking cycles of trauma so they don’t get passed down to the next generation.
On Personal Note
My own experiences have shaped how I show up in the therapy room more than any training could. I know what it costs to question what you were taught, and what it takes to rebuild afterward. Because of that, I can sit with complexity and move at the pace that matters to the person in front of me, not the pace of a quick fix.
This work asks a lot, so I protect what keeps me going: my family, the friendships I nurture, long walks in nature, reading and writing, slow progress on the piano, and a D&D group I love. I care deeply about advocating for people whose experiences have been minimized, pathologized, or dismissed. I take the work seriously without taking myself too seriously, and I believe curiosity and humor belong in the room right alongside the hard stuff.
