Hi! I’m Christina Nulty, MA
She | Her | Hers
I earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Applied Psychological Science from Pacific University in Oregon in 2022. I am currently working towards my license in Professional Clinical Counseling (LPCC) under the supervision of Dr. Tina Shah, PsyD, LP.
I have been working in the mental health field since 2015 in settings including womens’ transition homes, residential care for children with trauma histories, in-home care for children with developmental disorders, as a housing case manager, and most recently as a qualified mental health intern providing individual narrative therapy and a skills-based dialectical behavioral therapy group.
My favorite part of this work
My favorite part of this work is building meaning relationships with my clients and having a front seat to witness their joy as they learn to heal themselves. It is my intention to create a therapeutic space of safety and respect for clients to feel comfortable expressing vulnerabilities with me as we collaborate into their process of self-healing. I enjoy educating people about inherited physiological trauma, exploring religious views and spiritual orientations, helping clients learn boundaries and working through relationship issues, and talking about daily life. I have a very open worldview and I learn from each therapeutic relationship I develop with clients. I am happy to continue to roll over this knowledge and continue to better myself as a clinician. When you meet with me, you’ll find that my approach to therapy is warm and interactive, as well as direct and honest. My goal is to help us uncover the root causes of your current difficulties. You’ll also find me using humor a lot, just because therapy is hard work does not mean it can’t be fun!
